J.R Ward's Lover Mine, book 8 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Book is in good shape, spine has been opened, minor cover scuffs and dog-eared pages.

From Publishers Weekly
New or casual readers of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series will be lost in its eighth installment (after 2009's Lover Avenged), but Ward's fans love her soap opera storytelling and are happy to forgive unpronounceable names and occasionally overeager tough talk (at a solemn wedding, [the bridegroom] was smiling like a *****). Newly made vampire John Matthew vows to free his mate, the symphath Xhexania, from Lash, a paranoid coke addict who's transmuting into a nontemporal entity like his vampire-killer father, the Omega. Once freed, Xhexania joins the Brothers in battling the Omega, but refuses to acknowledge her emotional connection to John. Meanwhile, sexually promiscuous Qhuinn, shockingly jealous of his cousin Saxton's new lover, wonders whether he should have seduced Saxton when he had the chance. Complicated subplots and tortured heroes abound, but attentive readers will love putting it all together.

O.O'
That's the crappiest review I think I've encountered for this book. It's not even getting who is who right. >.>'

For those interested, this book is a lot better than this particular review gives it credit for. I'm not saying it's the best book in the series but it is entertaining & you get to find out what happens next, yay. ^.^

For BDB noobs, Qhuinn is not after his cousin but his cousin's lover.
Also Xhexania is uasually just called Xhex... 'uasually' meaning all but like once in the whole book. (yes I said 'like' because I did not go count >.>') All in all I recomend the series as a whole to anyone into paranormal romance that doesn't mind crude language.

Agreed. I snagged the review from a very popular online bookstore, and thought it was pretty stupid too. I do agree with them on one point though - that if you haven't read the ones before, you'll probably be lost.

Yeah, you can't jump into this series at this book, it's the 8th, I think? But this one is my favorite so far. And I need this one! Lucky me!
