The listing, Pocket Watch-Embassy by Gruen has ended.

Yours to bid on, a handsome pocket watch by Gruen. Two-tone silver/gold with a train design in front. This is a quartz watch. I don't know if this is wind or needs battery. I will do my research and update my post. Don't know much about this except that I bought this from an estate sale and kept it for a while as a collector's item. This is my second pocket watch I put up for auction, I have another to list after this auction ends. Happy Bidding!

Yes, it does say quarts on the face so it is run off a battery and never requires winding. The stem and crown, where on mechanical movement is used to wind and set the watch differs from the quarts where it is used only to set the time on this watch. Hope that helps. Happy New Year :-)

It is definitely old, and it says quartz, so I would think it is not a wind up. I have not used it for anything but for collection purpose, so I don't know if it needs battery. I will go to watch repair and find out. Thanks for asking
