no it's a whole different sims. it came out mid 2011. I enjoyed playing but just never had the time with 3 kids..lol it's not like reg sims. it's more like role playing. hope that answers your question. happy bidding

no i have it and it does not need anything else but compatiable computer as she said will play on win 7 and vista i LIKE to win this one for my daughter so we both ahve our own hehe :)
