Poppies can be a bit of a test for gardeners, what I have learned is that the Oriental Poppy does NOT like to be transplanted, so plant the seeds where you want the plants to live. I planted mine 7 years ago and they continue to return year after year, even when we had -12 degrees last winter!! They will bloom beautifully during your summer, providing large seed pods if you don't cut them off. If you remove seed pods, plants will bloom longer into the season. Happy Gardening!
