John Augustus "Jiggs" Donahue (July 13, 1879 - July 19, 1913) was a Major League Baseball player for 9 seasons from 1900-1909. , Donahue began his career as a catcher for the Pirates Brewers & Browns
Donahue had his greatest success from 1904-1908, after switching to first base for the Chicago White Sox. Donahue's defensive skills were a key to the White Sox' 1906 World Series championship team, and he led American League first basemen in fielding percentage, assists, and putouts for 3 consecutive seasons, from 1905-1907.[1] In 1907, Donahue had 1,846 putouts, which is still the major league record for putouts by a first baseman. He also holds the major league single season record for most chances accepted per game with 12.65 in 1907.

Though known mostly for his fielding, Donahue was also a decent hitter from 1905-1907. In 1905, he was among the American League leaders in batting average (.287), on-base percentage (.346), RBIs (76), and stolen bases (32). In 1906, Donahue was among the league leaders in stolen bases (36) and sacrifice hits (36) and was one of only three White Sox starters to bat over .250 for the 1906 World Champion "Hitless Wonders." Donahue also paced all batters with a .333 mark in the 1906 World Series.
On October 10, 1906, Donahue broke up a World Series no-hit bid by Cubs' pitcher.
In 1907, Donahue led the league in games played (157) and at bats (609) and was among the leaders in hits (158) and RBIs (68).
In Detroit on May 31, 1908, Donahue recorded 21 putouts in a nine-inning game.
In 9 seasons, Donahue played in 813 games with 731 hits, 319 runs scored, 327 RBIs, 143 stolen bases, 90 doubles, 31 triples, and a .255 batting average.

Thanks! i Hope others think so as well,
This is the fifth of sixth one i have let go, and this honestly is among the last couple i plan on be listing for a long while at least! So anyone who has been maybe wanting to get one of these from me, Because i have the a lot of watchers i notice. (That doesn't mean much sometimes i know). So far all sold have been the same 2 winners lol don't get me wrong i love my repeat customers and so should my fellow listiaians because they bring some of the best cards listia has to offer!, Like i was saying if anyone has been saving to own one this is going to personally one of the last 206s i will/have brought to the table on listia, i do not know how many other t-206s you will see on here im not sure about any other people listing them, One advantage to mine are i payed already to have them graded or authenticed by the most trusted authentication & grading company there are PSA BCG and SCG (mainly psa they are they strictest ), which is not cheap when your the one paying to get a bunch of cards done that PSA bill can add up fast lol! anyhow i like to let my people know whats going on and i have said it a couple times but JIGGS (player i have listed) was not the best batter however, was a GREAT fielding/defensive player in particular. He holds records to this day! Back when he played he was a well known and respected ball player, Mr. Donahue was FIRST IN AL fielding for any FIRSTBASE MEN 3 YEARS IN A ROW 06 1907 & 1908 these were his " peak years " as well (on the leader bored in categories each year at 1B) categories defenselessly....and if you do any researching type in Jiggs Donahue no donohue, THANKS EVERYONE, HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL 2012!!!!!!!!!

You should edit that ... with an item of such rarity and value, I'd try to make the titles and info accurate. I almost DIDN'T open this one when I saw "Topps".
This is a very cool auction. I'm pretty new to Listia and am pretty much on the outs of any big items for now until i build up some credits, but whoever wins this ... cheers to 'em.

i know i always try to make sure my information is 100% correct, I am a busy person and i love listia and ebay but only have so much time like everyone and when my spare time is computer time, and somedays i have to go FAST and thats when i make my typos, Also Listia has it where you cannot edit it once someone bids, Someone bid before i could change it, I had just got dont entering a few Topps T-206 relics and it just came when i was typing, Ive been collecting trading and selling t-206s for ALONG Time have sold over 5 on here, This is the first one i have and will ever put topps, i noticed it quick but not quick enough, I do not know why listia has it set up where you cannot edit your title, it is one thing they can improve on and i am going to let them know if my input is ever asked for, anyhow i apologize for being the "KING OF TYPOS" and i hope it does not hurt this auction!

This would be a GREAT one for a Chicago fan like you! like i collect cardinals/browns stuff when it comes back to the t206 era, its about the City, i just got a 1912 t202 Robert Robert Breschan (HOF)./Rebal Oaks SGC 30 for $50 bucks, It Books $325.00 There are 4 on ebay and they are all over 150 ....if you do not know who Breschan is by chance couple cool facts .one of the only players to play all 9 positions in the majors 17 seasons, was a catcher but started his career as a pitcher throwing a 6 ***** shutout! and still batted .274 he was truly an incredible player , I love it, It is one of my best cardinal cards now, I guess i have Several with a SMR of 300+..anyhow thought i would share, I dont have anyone here to share my card stories with (with anyone that cares at least lol!)...Good luck! i
