This plate is just about the oldest thing I remember from childhood, dining at my aunt's house. Somehow it has survived all this time. It was old then, from the 1940s, and it is REALLY old now. And it looks old, really old. There are a couple of nicks on the back side. It is crazed throughout, and the gilt design on the rim and the floral design in the middle are REALLY faded. There is discoloration, particularly on the back. I am offering it because I know there are people out there who think, as I do, that really old, faded, crazed plates like this have a certain beauty.

It is 7.5 inches in diameter -- a salad or dessert plate that was part of a whole set of dinnerware. No brand name or anything. It was from my aunt's daily dishes.
