I doubt if it is 50 Rupee. It might be 50 paise (100 paise = 1 Rupee). The figure on the coin Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of independent India.

Your right it is paise, thank you for bringing that to my attention. I've got 1 bid so I can't edit it, but I will contact the bidder asap, and tell them of my error. Do you know alot about old foriegn coins? I've got one that I cannot find anywhere, I know it's very old, I'd like to send you a few pic of it if you wouldn't mind . It has a seam around it, and about all I could find was a seam could be a indicator of a very old coin, all I can read on it is Greece, it's got alot of black tarnish on it, the pic. on the coin is raised very high.
