The listing, #2 Rose De Berne Tomato Pink Round Heirloom 2nd Tomato Harvest of this year - Homegrown - 20 seeds has ended.
Rose De Berne Aka Rose of Berne, is a Pink tomato, supposedly named after a French apple variety imported from Switzerland.
It's form, is pretty reliably, a round shape, around 8 oz.
The 1st photo, shows the Rose De Berne color with a red Cosmonaut Volkov on them, for color comparison, and also in the next to last photo, which shows the fruit from one plant.
The plant had a few more tomatoes, then pictured, but I picked them before these, and already diced, and seeded them out. Seeds to the smallest ripe tomatoes, were not kept.
The plant is over 4 ft tall, and vigorously wants to keep growing, so a strong support is needed.
It is fabulous for slicing for sandwiches, dicing, stewing, pureeing, and is a good all purpose tomato.
I'm putting the GIN bid, at 5700 credits = to about $3.00 for a $2.50 seed value, + 50 cents postage {about the going rate on seed selling sites}, because I start from seed, pot up, transplant, tend water, harvest, dice, deseed, cure the seeds, count them out, & package them all by myself.
It is a time consuming activity.
Please save seeds. You'll only have to buy them once, get plenty for yourself to plant them any year you want, within 10 years, and have plenty to share
If no 1 saved or shared any seed, varieties would die out. Plants make more seed, than 1 person would ever need.
The more seed savers, & sharers of heirloom / open pollinated seeds, the more diversity, fresh, local produce, & food security in the world.
THIS MAY SEEM LIKE A LOT OF CREDITS TO PAY, BUT IF U SAVE SEED, U'LL NEVER BUY THEM AGAIN, & U CAN LIST XTRA SEED ON HERE, TO GET SOME CREDITS BACK.
These are grown veganically.
