Arrieta rolled over as a top prospect for the Orioles, rolling over to a 20-25 mark with an ERA near 5.50.
A change of scenery was just what he needed.
Arrieta was traded to the Cubs in July 2013, and blossomed into ne of baseball's biggest stars, going 54-21 in his first 3 1/2 seasons with the Cubs while posting an ERA of 2.52 in that time. He won the 2015 Cy Young Award and helped the Cubs into the postseason for a second consecutive year in 2016. Behind him, the Cubs are heavily favored to win their first championship in 108 years!
