I have a like new bark-off device. Teaches your dog not to bark. Takes a 9 volt battery. Worked on my dachshund! Don't need it, he doesnt bark anymore.

this almost made my chihuahua have a heart attack, had to take to the vet, it stress him out so bad. they said it was the pitch that was scaring him.

works great for my chihuahuas...I have one that I got from a puppy farm ( adult) and she barked at any movement, got one of these and it only took a day for her to stop..I still keep it by the door, but have it turned off, i had taken it away and she started barking again, all I had to do was let her see it and she stopped...fanned you...

mine might just be extra sensitive to sound. all i know is that thing hit the garbage quicker then i bought it. i would rather hear him bark then have him dead. like i said it could just be him

Can you use it as needed? hand held and used at the time they bark inappropriately?

yes, it has an on and off switch. My dogs did fine with it. No problems.

I have one and idk if it is because he just dont mind it but this does not work at all for my dog......... but all dogs are not the same id say better for small dogs

I am not sure if it hurts their ears, my dogs didnt act like it hurt them.
