I'm sorry to hear that - I lost my mom to heart disease also and I have it - this book has lots of good information and it's good to be aware of your body and how it reacts and do what you can to avoid the heart disease or at least control it.

I'm also a heart patient--I have diastolic heart failure. A surprise diagnosis since no history in my family of heart problems. There's so much to learn and this sounds like a good book as so much information seems to be geared towards men and their signs and symptoms.

It does have some good information in it for women and yes most of the information out there is based on men - the medical field is finally realizing that women have heart attacks too.
