These handy yarn spongies are awesome for doing anything that a sponge can do. They can be washed in the washing machine, used to clean anything, used on non-stick pots and pans. If you care to, they can be zapped in the microwave to kill the germs. I have even washed them along with my dishes in the dishwasher. They are super absorbent just like a sponge fills with water.CAUTION: They can be used with hot water, but do not use them as a hot pad or set a hot pan on them . They are acrylic and will melt with heat from a hot pan.
