Description

The listing, BEAUTIES ! PURPLE TREE ROSE OF SHARON 100+ SEEDS has ended.

This auction is for 100+ Purple Tree Rose Of Sharon Seeds. Your soil will determine the light to darker colors. It is a member of the Hibiscus family( Hibiscus Syriacus ) and very versitale and easy to grow. The seeds come from my own trees.. They can grow to 12 feet if you would love them for a privacy fence. They can grow 1-3' per year. Prune in November to your desired height. You can grow them in pots for your patio, porch or deck, or you can prune to a single stem. You can start any time in pots indoors if you have a sunny location. You can transfer from the pots to the ground or other pots as desired after all danger of frost is over. Soak your seeds first. Place a few seeds directly into the ground or in pots. Cover with 1/2 inch of soil. Then water again. Mist until the plants come up and then only as needed. I sprinkle a little baking soda around the plants. It is a natural fertilizer and safe for outside pets and children. They may also be transplanted in the fall if you have grown them through the summer. Mulch the first year. I just use leaves. No special care after that. They are very hardy
I like to start now and then transfer where I want them or give away in the spring.
They are not picky about soil. You will have beautiful trees, plants or bushes for many years to come I have several as a fence row and never water and they never seem to mind ! I live in zone 7. Very unpredictable weather.
They are hardy in zones 5-11. Zones 9-11 may require watering. Germination is 10 weeks or less. They are a beautiful fast grower requiring little care. You can save your own seeds at the end of the blooming season when the pods turn brown. Dry in a cool dark place in a paper bag. Store in an envelope for your planting season.
Thanks for your intrest in my auction and please email me with any questions. I ship the next day after auction

I wish people who try to make trouble where there is none were prohibited from being on Listia. If I have not caused you any problems please keep myour comments to yourself. I noticed no one can email you so must be a problem some where else.

I'm still bidding whether they think you have a "legal" auction or not. You are a great seller and my last seeds were sent very quickly. There's nothing wrong with this auction. :)
