Love this too but likewise I have never heard of hemattie. I've made quite a bit of jewelry and have never come across that type of material. I'm wondering if it is a typo and actually supposed to be hematite, which is very popular to use?

Hematite is colored black to steel or silver-gray, brown to reddish brown, or red. It is mined as the main ore of iron. Varieties include kidney ore, martite (pseudomorphs after magnetite), iron rose and specularite (specular hematite). While the forms of hematite vary, they all have a rust-red streak. Hematite is harder than pure iron, but much more brittle. Maghemite is a hematite- and magnetite-related oxide mineral.

Ok thanx that still doesn't tell me of the width or the band size at the top of the ring, it only the height. And you have "Hemattie" in the title and description --but I see you're meaning "Hematite". I thought there was possibly a variety I'd not heard of lol

Thanks for your e-mail. We use the name the factory that made the ring uses, but call it anything you like. the pave'd area is 1/2 inch wide. The width of each ring will be different depending upon the size of the ring, if this doesn't answer your questions, please let me know. Sue

Thank you. Then it was a typo on your part and it is actually Hematite, as I expected, which I am very familiar with. However, your title and description still states Hemattie so you may want to update them to avoid further confusion. :)
