The listing, Pokemon Venipede Rev Holo (BLW 52/114) has ended.

Up for bid is a Venipede Reverse Holo card from the Black & White Pokémon expansion. This card is unplayed, fresh from the pack, and is in near mint condition - it does, however, show some fine scratches in the holo foil.

As noted in the description, those are scratches. For some reason, out of all the packs of Black & White I've opened, not a single rev has been free of scratches fresh out of the pack.

Still, the scanning I do on my cards tends to pick up reflections from the scratches more on dark-background cards (like Psychic types) than lighter cards (like Lightning types), so the scratches on this one look worse in the picture than when it's in hand.

Regarding the "light background vs. dark background" issue, see the pictures in my Pokémon Communication and Potion auctions ending tomorrow, where the scratches are on silver rev backgrounds - you only really notice the scratches in the dark 'shadow reflection' band down the center of each card.

(Now that I'm at work and have better light to reexamine) There's the main scratch is the one running between 'Ram' and the '10' damage (seen in the pic), and that's really a matter of the angle of the card - it's not a bad scratch at all. There's a second minor short scratch running across the '10' end of that one for about a half inch, and a number of other very fine ones that can't be seen except on close examination.

Although it's not the most authoritative, this would fall squarely under any of Troll and Toad's Near Mint conditions, most likely straight Near Mint.
