Description

The listing, Men's Celtic Wedding Ring MUST SEE THIS ONE has ended.

I used a "Stock" photo to get a better view - then added my photos - which aren't as clear. This was NEVER worn. Got it from my wife and it's too big. Plus, as a mechanic, I really can't wear rings - they get caught on things. So - it's on here to make someone else happy. It's a size 10 1/2 and worth more than we paid for it - by looks alone. It's Tungsten and won't scratch and/or discolor. It's FREE SHIPPING bc it doesn't weigh much. I've had it for three weeks and haven't worn it other than to try it on. As the wife says - if it doesn't love you, put it on Listia! I've been looking for a small and older laptop to check on Nascar and "men's movies" so if someone wants to trade - let me know before anyone bids on this. I also have a ton of movies and things to sweeten the deal if necessary! Happy Bidding!

Great auction! Fanned and watching. =) Is this a Tungsten Carbide ring and do you know if it contains Cobalt?

Ummm - first answer, written with a wink is - Hey lady, I'm a mechanic - not a scientist! lol ... Really though, I have no idea if it does. That's for the chemists to know. Yes, it's Tungsten Carbide. Can you fill me in so I learn ... what's the deal with cobalt? Does that make it toxic or something or strengthen it? My wife wrote (she's had a stroke and can't really talk yet) "This is a smart person Jim so learn something from her."

I too am no scientist. lol This is info i found online, which means I just know how to use google. lol I really didn't know much about Tungsten Carbide, so I did some research......

"Many people have seen their shiny tungsten rings last for years on end. When buying tungsten rings, make sure that it contains carbide, this is what makes it scratchproof. Do be aware of the tungsten rings that contain cobalt, some have witnessed allergic reactions to the substance, which causes their finger to turn green where contact was made with the ring."

So, the Carbide is great, the Cobalt, not so much. Did you buy the ring online? Is there any way you could check out the description from your order? This is the perfect size for my son, but I'd rather not have it turn his finger green. Love the ring, hope I can get it for him. =) Thanks for any info you can come up with. =)

P.S. Your wife is pretty smart herself, you should "always" take her advice. *wink* =)

See ANOTHER great reason to be on Listia! I learn things everyday. Well, it was a gift from my Aunt - who's dead now (that's where I'm getting all the movies I have on auction) so I can't ask where it's from. There IS a similar one that pops up on the right hand side of the screen that looks a lot like mine. I don't have time to check that out but I'll try and make it. I think she got it from Overstock.com because that's where she got a lot of things. Does that help?

In addition - my wife smiled and that means thanks. She recently had a stroke after the death of our daughter, my Aunt and her sister in a car accident. Her theory is, "If it can't love you - put it on Listia!"

I'll check and get back with you on this after I check out the other auctions I have running. Much thanks for asking though and telling me about this.

Ok you are on target here - ALTHOUGH this ring and all others made my the same co are NOT going to turn green or any fingers green and I discovered another thing - these can be easily cut off by medical pros in an emergency. I honestly appreciate this type of feedback because now I know. While I don't wear rings because of my job - I'm a pro. mechanic and can't have things on my fingers that could get caught and rip the old work fingies off, this is one I'd have worn if I wore one. So NO Cobalt is in this ring.

Great questions and I love your sense of humor!

This ring is really nice - I loved it. But I can't wear it bc I'm a mechanic and it and any ring will catch on things. So I hope you get it if it's what you like.

See !!! Another great Listian with some intelligence beyond me with the chemistry of metals - unless it's related to cars! Thanks man. Could you imagine the lawsuits if they mass produced rings of this nature?

Thanks for the tip but dear - my fingers have been so broken that to get a ring over the knuckle takes more space than the ring needs to be a snug fit. I appreciate this though bc it shows what Listia is about PEOPLE being kind PEOPLE!

It is and way better in person. It's thick and not at all cheap looking or feeling and knowing my Aunt, probably not too cheap - just right, as she'd have said.

love the ring couldint give to my husband though he looses rings all the time, He also is a mecanic and also he runs cable to the poles also. But he had about 3 rings now lol lost them all. maybe get for my friends that could wear and love this.

I feel for him because that's me! Even wearing one on a necklace is a no no. I've seen men get fingers ripped off (YUK) by rings and I've had a close call myself. It's still a wonderful ring for those that can wear them.

Yeppers! I thought it was really nice and loved it but with being a mechanic, I'm not about to put something on my fingers that can get caught. This is a quality ring. I hope it goes high so I can finally acutually have a chance at an old laptop.
