its like shell material, yes it is on a pretty chain... i bought this at home depot, for around 60.00, but then a few months later decided to do something different

if you look at the picture there are 4 rings around the light bulb its self so this would have to be about a 12-14 inch round , if not a little bigger , i cant believe she has not answered your questions , God forbid Hope all is well , it is very pretty

our townhoue is one of thoe where this is no permanent lighting in the living room(SUCK). So we have to make do with lamps. This would be great with our furniture and wood floor! Dang.......
