They are for collectors, but the candy is hard compressed that doesn't seem to go bad with age as long as stored properly. Our house is always at a setting, not hot or to cold. If unsure new candy could be replaced. Listia doesn't allow me to sell candy, but since Pez are collectable they allow Pez to be sold on their site. I hope that helps.
