This Alpine is a good grower and producer! I have not checked out what other people believe the taste comparison to be but to me, it has the sweet wild strawberry with vanilla taste to it. This would be a good keeper but I believe all of them are excellent! lol
Bears fruit spring,summer and fall. Plants need a cold time after seasons of fruiting BUT I have heard of people in Florida that grow these also....I would suggest a little research. Seeds have been cold treated already so you won't have to. Does not produce runners and they look great along a shaded pathway or wooded area, where there is some moisture and shade. Not a bog plant but some moisture or just add organic conditioner to soil and water a little more often than your other plants. Mine take morning sun very well in zone 5A. Leaves make a wonderful tea as well. Plants grow aprox. 1 ft. in height to 1 ft across.
Have not counted the seeds but there are close to if not over 100 seeds
