There are 19 pages of text and photos of how to do the old fashioned craft of Rug Braiding. Also sometimes called Rag Rugs... you can utilize scraps of coordinating material to make beautiful and useful 'artwork' for your home.

I've posted a sample but there are many shapes you can make - ovals, hearts, even baskets!

I will email the winner scanned copies of what I have collected over time.

yes but many many years ago.... which is why I put it out there for auction. I find now I just love to crochet more than anything. Have tried my hand at quilts too and a bit of other sewing but the crochet I can do just about anywhere (the bus, on my lunch hour or even watching tv).

I learned how to do this years ago at a historic site. This is actually a fun way to pass the time and make some fun rugs. Great auction!
