Based on the novel by Jacques Deval, this film depicts Marie Gallante, a French telegram deliverer who is inadvertently abducted by a drunken sea captain. She escapes to Yucatan and begins singing in a cafe to make her way to the Panama Canal zone and back to France. On the way there she meets Crawbett (Spencer Tracy), a secret agent who actually believes her kidnapping story. While falling in love with Marie after she unintentionally gets mixed up in a plot to sabotage the Canal, Crawbett tries to save the day.

2. BORDER COP starring Telly Savalas, 1979 Color, This 1970's cop thriller depicts a tough cop (Telly Savalas) assisting a young man in taking down a corrupt man. The criminal is illegally bringing poor Mexican citizens across the U.S. border to work cheaply in sweat shops.
