The bowl balances very well. holds water -- no noticeable leaks. The water bottle holds just over 16oz. It could be interchangeable with some bottles -- I never tried any other bottles because this bottle seemed to work fine. I only used it once or twice & because it gets well over 110 degrees on some of our hikes, my dog was SO grateful that I thot of him, too.

Pic#4 shows that the instructions are still there & readable. But it's pretty self-explanatory.

And no more trying to hydrate my dog out of MY water bottle ;-) This is a great addition to your hiking, walking gear. Or just to keep in the car for the occasional doggy ride.
