Thank you, what else can you tell me about your moon flower, is this a vine, what zone is it, is it self seeding or is it a perenial... never saw a moon flower like it before. Do you know the tech name for it....
Don't you just love dogs they give such unconditional love and devotion.. I raise Shih Tzu's, Tinka in the picture is named after my Great Aunt in Greece. She just turned 1 the 13th of past Nov.
The moon flower is a vine, it is perenniall here in s.w.florida. Its name is IPOMOEA ALBA and it produces seeds after flowering. It can be very invasive. Just have to keep cutting it back. The flowers are very fragrant and stay open till 10 or 11am the following morning. All of my vines turned brown during our last cold spell (30's), but root systems will be fine and I do have the seeds, of course. It is a fast grower and in a matter of a few months the vine starts to produce the flowers, sometimes before that, as you can see by my pictures it produces many flowers.Anything else I will try to answer.
