The listing, 37Wh 7.2V Battery for 2008 & 2009 Apple MacBook Airs Part A1245 has ended.
* I bought this from Aibocn-shop on eBay. It works great and that store has an excellent rating 99.8%. I went with a much more expensive $60 genuine battery instead, but this should work well in comparison to similar generic A1245 batteries. I think among generic A1245 batteries this would be one of the best if not the best (other than OWC replacement batteries).
* I calibrated the battery by letting the laptop run until dead with the charge the battery came with, and then I charged it all the way to the limit and let it run down to dead again. I may have charged it up to full a second time before I took it out of the laptop.
* The instructions actually say to charge up to full and run to dead 4-5 times to calibrate. I did not do this. I did not use the machine except for the 1 cycle calibration run.
* Find out from this good article from Apple, https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201585, to see if you need to replace your battery. This battery is only for the A1237 and A1304 MacBook Airs from back in 2008 - 2009.
* These early Macbook Air batteries expired either after 300 (2008) or 500 (2009) cycles...Not a lot of use. The next generation Macbook Airs have double the battery life.
* Here is a fine illustrated set of directions for replacing the battery yourself: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Air+Models+A1237+and+A1304+Battery+Replacement/848.
* I'll include three types of screwdrivers also in the package, a Phillips, a Tri-Wing and a Hex Driver, however a small Phillips screwdriver should do the trick.
* Free US shipping.
* Offers welcomed.
