A stunning and vintage Duleek Cross by TJH,
hallmarked and sterlling silver. This was from my Grams
jewelry box. This would be great on a chain, ribbon or piece of leather.

Length is 1.25"
Width is at the widest point .75"
Weight is 2.1 grams

It was just cleaned and polished.

Duleek is Celtic/Irish. A little bit of history:
The Celtic Cross belongs to a period of the early middle ages, approximately 8th to 10th century. These Crosses had a religious significance, Death and the Afterlife being extremely important to the ancient Irish Celts. The original crosses were handcut in stone showing intricate interlacing knots, Mythical animals and Human Figures. The High Cross is possibly the best known symbol of early Christianity in Ireland.
