The listing, Seeds-Cypress Vine or Cardinal Creeper has ended.

Up for auction are a lot of seeds for cypress vine, or as it is sometimes called, cardinal creeper. This plant is a member of the morning glory family and produces hundreds of tiny red trumpet shaped flowers that hummingbirds love. You will receive at least 10 seeds from my vines. Scatter them on the ground any place you don't mind them taking over and watch them grow.
The vine can be invasive, in a few years from these seeds you could have thousands of plants, but it has a shallow root growth and is fairly easy to contain if you catch it early.

these are not invasive in the north. I am in zone 6 and have to gather the seeds in the fall and replant each spring.

You're lucky. I'm in zone 7 and one plant and I'm overrun with them the next year, even though we have had really cold winters the last two years. I love them though. I live in the house my grandmother used to live in and these seeds are descendants from her plants. She lived in the house 10 years and she died in 2010, and they've grown there every year. There's a house in town whose chain link fence is covered with them every year so thick you can't see the fence, and she never has to gather seeds.
