Here are 3 1943steel pennies. I do not clean coins,so what you see is what you get! As always; good luck and thanks for looking. The pic. of coin by itself is the cleanest of the 3.Just finished doing some homework and it seems that pretty much ALL of the 1943 pennies are worth something!

Steel pennies were made of steel instead of copper that year for the war effort. Needed copper for ammo, etc. Fanned ya.

is it made of tin or silver?

I'm not a coin collector so I'm going by what I was told. I'm pretty sure their silver cuz I have sum more older coins that definately are. Just not sure if I want to list yet.

Kory7: Thank You for the questions because I would have never known about the 1943 penny! Copper was needed for war and that's where the steel came in for pennies.
