Questions & Comments
Taking a picture with your name next to the item you are listing is actually the rudest thing people ask others to do! i would never ask anyone to to do that,it is like saying show me your drivers license because i don't think you are who you say you are. period. listia is a community site where people come to list things they no longer want,no money is exchanging hands other then a mere shipping fee if one is required so even if you do fall into a scammers hands it is your choice to send cash or money orders to those people and them showing you a picture with their names on it next to an item is not going to change the fact that if they want to steal your money and not send you the item you bid on they will or will not depending on if they are an honest person or not,but others asking ridiculous questions like hey take a pic with your name on a sheet of paper next to this item so i know im gonna get this item or that i know you have this item doesn't prove anything other then the person who asked you to do that is nothing more then someone who doesnt put their trust in anyone.. your either going to get the item or your not and if you dont oh well file a dispute and get your stupid credits back big deal?
Could you please put your Listia ID on a sheet of paper & take a few pics of everything & upload them here so that everyone will know it's real & that you actually have the item? And get your account verified by either phone or bank account also! Let me know if you need help with anything!! Welcome to Listia! This site is so very very addicting!!!
I have had to do that a few times but i will never make someone feel they are below me by asking such nonsense even if they are brand new and don't have any verification's on their accounts!! also if you pay your shipping costs through paypal you will also get that rfunded to you if you also file a dispute with them. so anyone who asks others to take pictures of their names next to items they list why not ask yourself this one thing.... am i really going to feel better seeing a picture of an item with someones name next to it or am i going to be bigger then that and take this person for their word like they are doing with me bidding on their item while they have no idea of who i am and do not know if i will turn around and say i didnt receive their item they sent or file a refund dispute for something not true? so the road goes both way just remember who started walking down it first? they did when they entrusted their auction with your bid so be more respectful then that please,it looks bad when you ask such nonsense of the people who are just trying to get started to have people already harassing them about if they can trust them or not?
ill take care of that tonight. i wont be home til late but i will get it done. i havent listed anything before so i dont know any protocols or anything so any advice will be appreciated. im hoping this goes well because i have several potential items to list .
Tom Tom has their own site to do your upgrading needs it's real simple to download and their rated number one on keeping their units updated with the newest maps ! 4 maps a year , plus a option of updating with other tom tom users updates of things the map is incorrect on!!
I agree with most of whitetyger has said. I do, however, wish that people (BOTH 'old' and 'new' sellers) listing an auction would keep in mind that they are trying to get the best bids possible on their item. That said, they should remember one easy 'trick' of the trade... List your item so that it is very appealing to YOU... as if you were going to bid on the item you are listing. Remember to include pics of the ENTIRE item, all side views, since the more a person can 'see' of an item, the more likely they will bid-to-win... And, put LOTS of details in your description. Since bidders can't ALL live in your neighborhood and stop by to see the item in person, the more they can 'see' in your auction, the more comfortable they will be at bidding. For example, if you were going to sell a car, you wouldn't get very much interest if your ad said, 'Car for sale. Blue." But, if you described it like, "1970 Cuda. Hemi. Krager Wheels. Edelbrock Carb. Midnight Blue w/Back Plush Leather interior." People just might be beating your door down to check that baby out! The more detail and pics, the more interest people will show! Competition is the name of the auction game! Great auction here, tatufreek6669... and it's also nice when people show interest in their own auctions by answering questions and comments. This item should make someone very happy!
