For consideration; here are two Barrel Keys. The smaller one is + 1 inch in length, with hollow shaft. The large one is 1.87 (almost 2") inches, also with a hollow shaft.

I don't know what they were used for but they have been in a box from my grandfather that I received 38 years ago.
