Description

The listing, Size 5 Sterling Silver Claddagh & Triquetra Celtic Irish Knotwork Ring *BNWT* has ended.

This Auction is for a Size 5 Stamped Sterling Silver Celtic Irish Claddagh with Triquetra Knotwork Ring. (See all pics for stamp) This beauty is BRAND NEW WITH TAGS and will arrive in a Gift Box!

The Claddagh's design features two hands clasping a heart, and surmounted by a crown. This symbol are said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown). If the ring is on the right hand with the heart facing outward and away from the body, this indicates that the person wearing the ring is not in any serious relationship, and may in fact be single and looking for a relationship: "their heart is open." When worn on the right hand but with the heart facing inward toward the body, this indicates the person wearing the ring is in a relationship, or that "someone has captured their heart".

The Triquetra was created by the Celts a long time ago and is now being used as a symbol by many. In Latin, Triquetra means “three cornered”. This symbol is also called the Trinity Knot or Celtic Triangle. It has three interlocked loops, creating the intersection of three circles. There is no beginning and no end to the knot work. When a circle around the three loops is added then it is thought to stand for protection, infinite, eternity, Spiritual Unity, & something that cannot be broken.
There is certainly more than one meaning of the Triquetra. Sometimes people believe it to mean more than one thing, others use it for only one purpose at a time, and some believe it to always and forever mean only one thing. Across Culture and religions is stand for a Trinity. For Druids, Wiccans, and other earth based religions it is a Symbol for The Maid, The Mother, and The Crone, the stages of a Woman's Life. To Christians it's trinity is the Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and have a look. Feel free to any questions you may have. Happy Bidding!
