The listing, BIG (not huge, but really big!) lot of baby yarn & patterns! has ended.
My Granny is the one who taught me to crochet, so when she passed away last year, all of her yarn, patterns, and tools were passed on to me. I'll never be able to use it all, since I already had a huge stash of my own... as much as I hate to get rid of the things that were hers, at least I'm hoping that whomever wins these will use them to make something half as beautiful as she would have.
So.... here's a whole bunch of baby yarn for your next project!
Pic #1: For some reason, my Granny decided to ball up a bunch of baby yarn.. maybe she was bored one night, maybe she had something specific in mind- i tend to lean toward the latter. But there are 51 little balls of sparkly white, 25 balls of baby pink, and 8 balls of mint green. Altogether, they fit in a gallon-size ziploc. I'm certain she was going to make a granny-square blanket, or something like that.
#2 & 3 are the same 8 skeins of sport-weight cream-colored yarn. None of them have labels, but they feel like a very light wool, or maybe acrylic. In pic #2, i had the flash on, and in #3 i turned it off, hence the colors seeming a bit different. After looking at the pictures on here, I would say #2 is a little more true-to-life.
#4: 6 full skeins in one shot; pics 5-7 show them in a little more detail.
#5: 2 skeins of Mary Maxim Mellowspun 4, sport weight/baby yarn, pink. 100% Orlon Wintuk Acrylic, 3 1/2 oz per skein, no yardage indicated.
#6: 1 skein of Baby Wintuk, Pastel Green. 100% Orlon Acrylic, 1 oz skein. Again, no yardage indicated.
#7: 1 skein of Mary Maxim Mellowspun 4, sport weight/baby yarn, white- 100% Orlon Wintuk Acrylic, 3 1/2 oz per skein, no yardage indicated;
and 2 skeins of Caron Sports Weight in white- 100% Orlon Wintuk Acrylic, 4 oz per skein, "not less than 450 yards per skein."
Aside from the balls, all of the skeins appear to be full.
I also plan to add some baby patterns, for either knit or crochet, or both- Granny did both and had plenty of patterns!
