Description
The listing, Video/S-Video and Audio connector for Wii/PS3/XBox360 has ended.
Are missing your audio/video wire to connect one of your systems to your t.v. I have this three in one combo to connect your Wii, PS 3, or Xbox 360. You have the option to use video or s-video to connect one of your systems.
Questions & Comments
Can you please explain this item to me? Can you hook up all three at once? Does it go into the A/V jacks?
Yes it connects to your a/v jacks on the back of your t.v. You can use the the video that plugs into the yellow a/v jack or the s. video that plugs into the yellow a/v jack on your t.v. And you use the two audio jacks that plug into your red and white a/v jack on your t.v. It also has the s. video cable option which is a little bit better that the yellow video connection but some t.v.'s do not have this. And you can only hook up one at a time. Hope that helps. If you have anymore questions just ask.
Thanks for the info. =) That does help some. The situation i have is, there is only one set of normal A/V jacks on the back of my TV. We have the wii hooked up to those. We also have a gamecube we use on that TV. Right now I have that hooked up to the other "not normal" set of AV jacks, that looks like it has and extra jack that we don't have a cable for. The gamecube works in those but the games are in black and white, no color. I'd just like to be able to have both the Wii and the Gamecube hooked up and working properly at the same time without having to unhook them each time and hook them to the normal A/V jacks every time we want to switch consols. It's a pain in the butt trying to get in behind the TV every time the kids want to play a different system.
Ok, I just looked at the back of my TV. In with all the thousands of different connections back there (exaggerating) there is an S-video connector. Now, is that the jack i need for the Wii, or do i also have to use audio jacks along with the S-video jack?
You also need to use audio jacks but I have some a/v jack splitters that I will send for free with these wires if you win. I know exactly what your talking about because I had the same problem until I bought one of those new fancy t.v.'s that came with 8 different connections in the back for multiple systems. I will also send you directions on how to connect everything :)
I did some research online and I think I have it figured out. I would need to use the S-Video jack along with the 3 A/V jacks on this connector for the Wii. And then I could hook up the gamecube to the regular A/V jacks and then everything should work properly. So, this IS exactly what I need. =) Thanks for listing it. =) Sorry about all the confusing posts, I don't really know much about this stuff. lol
I will still send the extra wires. These are called a/v jack splitters. They turn one a/v jack, on the back of your t.v., into two. So you will be able to have both audio connections hooked up at the same time while your Wii is hooked up with the s.video and your gamecube is hooked up with the regular video cable.
