Catchfly Silene is a moss-like, dwarf, evergreen perennial with solitary, nearly stalkless flowers are dark pink . Called also Moss Cmpion. Grows to 2" tall and spreads 8". This delicate plant is good in seed beds and is also for rock gardens and as a groundcover .It works well in drought conditions. It requires sun to part shade.As with any type of wildflower, it is best sown on the ground. I water my soil first, seeds are small so I mix with soil then sprinkle where I want them.and then water again.They should come up in 7-14 days. They are an early spring bloomer through mid-summer.
