The pics don't do this justice. I sealed the jewelry box in a few coats of "starlight glaze" which has glitter in it. In the pics the glitter ends up looking like smudges for some reason. Trust me, they are NOT dirty. This is something I just finished making so it hasn't been collecting dust on my shelf either. I handpainted it with acrylic paint, then made a clay charm to glue on the inside lid. Once everything was painted I used the glitter glaze to seal it. There are several coats to protect the paint from damage. Box measures at 3.5 inches wide a little over 2.5 inches high as well as across the top. Inside measures 3 inches wide, 2 3/4 of an inch across. Depth is about half an inch so it's a small box meant for only small amounts of jewelry like earrings or rings. Maybe even just a small set that is your favorite. It's absolutely perfect for a little girl!
