Just have to ask: Is this real currency, and way back when it was actually used to buy stuff? What does it mean horseblanket note? Would someone be able to use it Now as currency? Sorry, just learning some of this.

Yes it's real. And you can use it a face value. You'll get $2 worth if u spend it. But it's worth more if you sell it to someone. It's a 1917 year $2 banknote. And if u wanna spend it you'll get $2 worth of stuff from the store. Horseblanket is a nickname people back in 1920's gave it because how big the note Is. All it is is slang.

This is a real 1917 two dollar banknote. It's not fake. I can see the hair fibers in the banknote. Why do you say it's fake? It's real.

There are many flaws...... it may seem real, but that's bc it's counterfeit, in 1900- 1922 the serial number on the note was only in one place , also the number three occurs to often in the same frame 3_3_3, the maximum amount of reoccurrence was twice, in the 20's mobsters could use this trick to spend the counterfeit money without it being traced back to them, because the serial numbers didn't exist in the system.......also very common with the counterfeit bank notes there were beginning to be so much of them, that when they reached the actual economy no one knew the fake from the real, notice that it say "series of 1917" that means that it's not real nor counterfeit, it's a collectable from the 60's made as toys, the objective was to collect all the different years. This model you have is modeled from a counterfeit bank note not as valuable as a real bank note. I have a collection of them if you would like to have them i have 1912-1918 if your interested.
