FREE: silver bolo tie

The listing, silver bolo tie has ended.

This is a bolo tie, looks like a Navajo design but I don't know its meaning. I think it might be silver plate because there is a little greenish residue where the tie goes through the clasp. Or maybe it's just the clasp and the medallion on the front is sterling, I don't know. The braided tie part is leather. There are designs on the little end caps which I believe symbolize clouds (see close-up photo). I don't see any markings on the back.

This was given to me by someone who was wealthy and could afford to shop, bought a lot of things but then never used many of them. I don't know if it's vintage, or where it came from. It may be worth something but I just don't know.
