The listing, WWII USMC Document Artifact from 1945 "IDENTIFICATION DISCHARGEE CERTIFICATE" Iwo Jima Marines has ended.

This is an Identification Dischargee Certificate from WWII. It was good for one special coach fare on the train under the authorized account of Richard C Higgs, 2nd Lt, USMC. It is signed by Lt. Higgs as well.

It was given to my grandfather when he was discharged from the Marines after his tour of duty in the pacific. He was in the Marines for four years and fought the entire Battle of Iwo Jima. I guess when he got back he didn't need a train ride because he still had this voucher.

I have many documents and random stuff he left behind and I just wanted to pass on an artifact or two to a real history buff who can truly appreciate it! Happy Bidding!
