--Grow throughout US. Wild seedlings show mid/late spring usually before last frost. Some germinate into summer.
--Next year spot ready? Take 1/3 of seeds, mix w/ sand, broadcast (atop snow OK). Tiny seeds. Sand lets you spread evenly. Rake lightly (require lite to germinate), rest in zip lock & freeze - 4-5 wks, sow when spring soil's workable.
--Transplant easily w/ almost no setback. 3% brown germinate easily. Most black w/ varying dormancy. Some viable for decades. 10-30% germinate this season. That's why 200+ seeds. Rest germinate next & next, etc.
--Sow indoors in small tray 6-8 weeks before average last frost. Germination increases w/ lite, strong day & night temp fluctuation, & nitrate in soil. Generous compost in mix increases germination. For temp fluctuation put tray in fridge after dark & return to windowsill in AM til 1st seedlings show. Pot on, move to garden w/ minor hardening off around last freeze date.
--Seeds not germinated viable but dormant. Add rest of mix to a spot where you want Lambsquarters in the future. Plant produces 30,000-100,000+ seeds. You'll have all you can use.
