Sterling silver can be plated. It could be plated on top of some sort of metal. So do you know for fact if it solid or not?

Now I know of one occasion where there has been a case of a ring that was marked .925 and that is the International code for Sterling and was a plated Ring. I buy from a reliable distributor that I trust. Now this ring its self is Marked .925 Sterling Silver .925 is not 100% Sterling Silver .925 is 92.5% Silver and 7.5% alloy. You cannot mold 100% Solid silver because it is to soft to mold. If you have any reservations I would prefer that you did not bit. I'm not saying that you were lying. I'm just simply telling you that there is companies that plate sterling silver over brass etc. I don't think you're understanding. But that's fine thank you anyway.

I understand completely I buy rings that are silver plated over bronze and copper and when I list them in my description I tell the buyer that they are plated so there is no mistake what they are buying.The rings that I buy are triple plated and if taken care of will last a life time.If I were you and were that concerned I would go to a Jewelry Store and pay top dollar.
