@deboraharvey I would guess this is the newer style unit and these are new within I would say possibly 10 yrs, my cousin had the older version when I had a child 10 yrs ago and about 5 yrs ago I bought the same model at office max for $120.00. I like this style, it looks a little more compact esp with the closing top like that, mine is the same size but looks like a small domed boombox/radio I guess but Epson is a good brand and I know this print excellent photos. We all know the life of technology is 1 yr now but used to be 3, the photomate has proven it works so why change what works, just made it better. So if you have a chance I would try and snatch it up esp when it's free :) And this is my own commercial I have no affliation with this user just want to let listians know they'd be getting a great product....Great auction! Yes you can still get ink for about 9.00 to 12.00 for a package of a couple i don't remember its in packs ,2,3,or 4

I actually just bought a epson printer last year for 150.00 from the company itself and was very unpleased because the ink cartridges cost 35.00 and you can only get that kind from the company you cant buy this at the stores. It really sux, but it does print perfect photos. The older styles print 4x6 and 5x7 and also has a cd drive to copy your photos to a disk, but the newer style no longer provides this. Thats why i wanted o know if it print 5x7 wich is great.
