Questions & Comments
This is beautiful! Actually it's called a Mandela. Mandelas are different then dreamcatchers. Some have webbing in them, but the majority of mandalas have fur in the centre. A mandela represents a shield of protection, survival and strong visions. I'm Cherokee/Choctaw, and I love these things. I have several of both in my home.
thanks so much...I did not know that, but looking at the background of your picture I can see some hanging! I will be posting some more of these, and also some collectible indian figurines that are numbered. A decor tepee, and some other indian items either today or tomorrow. so keep watching!
I have seven more I will be listing, but this is the largest one, and the best one! I wll also be listing some collectible Indian figurines either today or tomorrow. They are numbered pieces of work.
Thank you for fanning me and following my items! It really is a beautiful piece. The statues are listed under the collectibes under Indian Items. They are beautiful pieces also, some of the came from the Hamilton Collection and the athenticy is on the bottom of them.
Thanks for fanning me and following my items! This truely is a beautiful, very large dream catcher, would be the only decor you would need on a side wall, hallway, or even livingroom, or bedroom, depending on the wall size. It is also very unique with the molded sculpture in the middle of it.
Thank you for fanning me and following my items! This is truly a beautiful and very large piece. And the sculpture in the middle just adds to its beauty.
Good auction item! The "feathers" at the bottom are brushed wool roving, actually. Feathers are usually used in the dream catcher~to help capture the dreams. Mandelas like this have the roving bundles. This item is exceptional, though, thanks!
Thanks you for explaining the difference to me, I did not know that! I thought they were all dream catchers, I never realized that there was a difference, so this was very interesting! Thank you!
