The listing, AVON'S "BEAD FOR LIFE" BRACELETS has ended.

This is a charity close to my heart, I think all of us here on Listia have felt the strain of our economy and have had some hard times, but when I have a few extra dollars I buy these from avon and give them as little gifts to friends and family, so I thought I would share with my fellow Listians and the winner can proudly wear this knowing they also had a part in helping others.
Here is some info on "Bead for Lifeds"
BeadforLife is a Colorado 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to eradicate extreme poverty by creating bridges of understanding between impoverished Africans and concerned world citizens. Ugandan women turn colorful recycled paper into beautiful beads. Women in Northern Uganda gather shea nuts and press them into shea butter for cosmetics and soaps. And people who care open their hearts, homes and communities to buy and sell both products.

The beads and shea butter become income, food, medicine, school fees and hope. It is a small miracle that enriches us all.
