Legend of the Dreamcatcher
Native Americans of the Great Plains believe the air is filled with both good and bad dreams.
According to legend, the good dreams pass through the center hole to the sleeping person.
The bad dreams are trapped in the web, where they perish in the light of dawn.
Historically, dreamcatchers were hung in the tipi or lodge and on a baby's cradle board.
My thought was..............: /
This could be used on a rear view mirror, as decoration as well.
Size is approx. 3 and 3/4 inch ring diameter
10 and a 1/2 inches long including the ribbon that it hangs on.
I would say a little bit longer due to the fishing line the chime hangs from.
It is tan in color ~ with silver type ~ chimes ~ and ~ black n white beads ~ with ~ tannish brown ~ and ~ white feathers.

fanned and watching!! Blackfoot Indian here!! My great-great-great-grandfather worked for the Pony Express. He met an Indian woman, married and had children. He was from Irish-Catholic roots and a lot of my family won't recognize the Indian heritage still. (The older generations!!)

We should all recognize our blood family heritage since there is no way to get around it "through tracking our family tree" or deny it. I'm proud to be part Cherokee ~ Irish by my last name. I'm sure I have a lot more in me too. lol Sad to know that I am related to others and I don't even know it. Again wish I paid attention to my moms classes she gave of relatives to whom I'm related too blood or marriage.Thanks for the comment. I love every one's comments so keep them coming. We are all related.

ANd My dad always told me the story of dream catchers catching your bad dreams I have always told my kids and My grand kids a in fact I have my grand son a dream catcher in his bed room he said grand ma it took my bad dreams away!!! The saying about Native Americans is so true
