it is solid gold, I received it as a graduation present and that is what the package said

there is no place that there would be room to make that marking, the clasp is small and simple and the chain is solid the whole way across. The box I received it in said the words "Fine Jewelry" 14K on it, so that is why I know.

thats not real 14K then? as far as i know a real gold should have mark in the jewelry of it own even how small it is?

It is not marked, or at least not from what I can see. If you don't want to take the chance, then please do not bid. The item is really nice and from what I have been told it is real, but I don't know how to tell if the gift giver was telling me the truth - I hope they were, they were a relative and I trust them .

Sorry guys, I'm not a jeweler - I'm just going off the box that it was given to me in - unless the gift giver put it in a box that it didn't belong in . . if you feel uncomfortable with taking a chance on it not being Pure gold then I wouldn't bid on the item.
