It is a very good trilogy. Not sure if youv'e ever heard of the Wheel of Time but this is the author that is finishing the last three books to that series which Robert Jorden started.

And the Pern books my Anne McCaffrey - now THAT is fantasy ... the first REAL dragon novels in my opinion.

I just read the Wheel of Time books and now I want the Sanderson books.

He is doing a really great job finishing the Wheel of Time, which is one of my favorite fantasy series. These books are really great too and I believe he is starting a second Mistborn series separate from this story.

If your just starting fantasy I highly recommend George R.R. Martin. He is an excellent author. If you've ever seen the show Game of Thrones, he wrote the books that it's based on. I'll probably have the books up for auction after I read the new ones.

I hae been told I should watch the Game of Thrones but I have not, yet. I will have to watch for the Martin books. Thanks for the tip.
