Description

The listing, Hollyhock Seeds for your old-time garden! The more you bid, the more you get! has ended.

Want to add an old-time, vintage touch to your garden?

I'm cleaning out my seed stash and gettng ready for next season, Up for bid is a packet of AT LEAST 50 hollyhock seeds hand harvested from my garden in 2011. I've had hollyhocks in my garden for as long as I can remember, and these are my particular favorite. They will grow about 6 feet tall in full sun, and re-seed readily. Plant as soon as the soild can be worked, or get a jump on the season and start in your greenhouse (if you're lucky enough to have a greenhouse!)

These are primarily bi-ennial so you will get sparse flowers the first season and full flowers the next.

One variety available, the purple/white you see in the picture.

Hollyhocks are a vintage flower I remember in my grandma's garden. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I!

Here's the fun part --- Once bidding reaches 250 I will add 25 seeds for every 100 points! (350 points = total of at least 75 seeds, 450 points = total at least 100 seeds, etc.)

I love hollyhocks but just lost an auction do to Listia having a problem. If I don't win these, will you have another auction and do you know how I can be notified?
These are a beautiful color. When my sisters and I were young mom used to turn the flower upside down and make a doll out of them. I don't remember how to do this though, do you?

It depends how many seeds will be left after this auction is over, I might have enough for another round. And as far as I know Listia doesn't have an automatic notification of something being offered, so you might want to check back periodicially.

Have fun! :)
