Description

The listing, Dwarf Peach Tree Seed has ended.

This is a tester auction to see if people are interested.

I am offering one pit from one of my dwarf trees. This is a Dwarf Peach Tree. These grow about 4 to 6 feet tall. They are self pollinating so you will get fruit. They grow outdoors in zones 5 to 8. However due to their size, they make good container plants and can be brought indoors for the winters.

This was just picked off my tree when I ate a peach. So it is a fresh seed.

It takes about 3 years when you grow them from seed to fruit. They have to get tall and strong first.

You will want to crack the shell lightly without harming the seed inside before planting. If you don't, you could wait years for the shell to rot and crack. This is why many people are not successful when starting fruit seeds.

what zones are best for this tree?

I have the zones listed. However if you want to grow it in a colder zone, put it in a whiskey barrel on your porch to protect it. It's much easier to tent there if necessary. If you want to grow it in the ground in a colder zone, compost it and if necessary, tent it. Very easy to do.

If it has a thick hard pit then yes, crack it. If the coating is thin then no. You can soak those for about 10 minutes in a small bit of water then plant them.
