The listing, 20 Cosmonaut Volkov Medium Sized, Red, Round Historical Tomato Seeds Homegrown has ended.
This tomato, was developed in the Ukraine, in the 1960s.
It was named by a Russian cosmonaut, (who took up gardening after retiring from the space program), who picked the most exceptional tomato he was growing, and named it after his friend, also a Russian cosmonaut, who was killed upon reentry into the Earth's atmosphere.
The plant is classified as an indeterminate variety, but reaches only 5′ in height and is quite manageable, with a sturdy structure to lean on.
The fairly uniform in size, crack resistant, fruits are a vibrant red, slightly flattened globe shape, 3″-6″ in diameter and about 8 oz in volume.
These are a great all purpose tomato, for slicing, dicing, pureeing, cooking, or eating fresh.etc,
These seeds, were grown veganically, vegan (no animal products, and organic (not certified) no chemicals of any kind, and no GMO seed.
