Hello I want a basketball program in the winter January to March and we constantly are using these types of radio. I'm looking for radios like this to replace the old ones that no longer work. Can you put double or triple A batteries in the radio or do they only use a battery pack

We used to use them up to a mile away from each other no problem. I want to say they go further than that. I can Google the model info...

The range on Google says they can reach up to 25 miles. We never had a reason to use them that far away.
