This knitted(?) purse is perfect if you're wanting to be hands-free - I used it as a cross-body purse. The strap measures about 48 1/2 inches long from end to end. It's about 8 inches long and 5 1/2 inches wide. There is a minor snag in the inside material, as shown in the 5th photo and it measures about 3/4 of an inch long, but it's almost unnoticeable unless you're looking for a flaw.
